I live in El Paso, TX, and also in a city called Cd. Juarez, in Mexico. You've probably heard of it in the news. Anyways, Cd. Juárez right now is full of military units, there are military checkpoints on random parts of the city.
Last week I got stopped at a military checkpoint and started talking with the soldiers, and started to befriend them, I actually invited them to show them around the city. So now I have some soldiers as friends.
It was until 3 days ago, that I was with one friend at the mall, and the soldiers got down to the market to buy food etc, and I was on the line, and one soldier recognized me and he was like "Hey man how is it going" and that kind of stuff.
So all the girls that were nearby started to look at me as I was chatting with this Sargent.
Then when we left the mall, my friend was like
"Wow, I should hang out with you more often, for protection haha" ...
And then it rang me, if I have like really close friends in "high spots", it could actually give me points....
I've used this "advantage" ...
A friend of one girl I'm dating, went missing, she hasn't been to her house in 2 nights, and I told my friend to calm down, to give me the name of the girl and a picture. I called the soldiers and told them what was the situation, who she was last seen with (boyfriend) and what was the whole deal.
I then visited my girl friend's house and told her the whole deal, then the soldiers came to the house and told me that they had started an "off the record investigation" ...
And when I left, my girl friend called me and told me that her parents were like "Wow, who is that guy ? You should invite him for dinner ... "
So what do you guys think in using this kind of situations to demonstrate DHV? Hehe...
