Chiromancy or cheiromancy, (Greek cheir, “hand”; manteia), is the art of characterization and foretelling the future through the study of the palm, also known as palmistry, palm-reading, chirology or hand analysis.

he three lines found on almost all hands, and generally given most weight by palmists:
The heart line is the first of the major lines examined by a reader. It is found towards the top of the palm, under the fingers. In some traditions, the line is read as starting from the edge of the palm under the little finger and flowing across the palm towards the thumb; in others, it is seen as starting under the fingers and flowing toward the outside edge of the palm. Determine where the love line begins to start reading a palm. If it begins under the index finger, that implies the person is happy with their love life. If it starts under the middle finger, it means the person is materialistic and selfish when it comes to love. A love line that begins in between the middle and index finger indicates someone falls in love too easily.Notice the characteristics of the love line. If it slopes toward the wrist and actually touches the bottom palm line (the life line), it indicates a heart easily broken. A lone curvy love line is characteristic of a person who finds it relatively easy to express emotions. Also, a wavy line indicates a lack of serious relationships. A fairly straight and short love line means the person has a high sex drive and doesn't care too much for romance. A love line that's parallel to the head line (middle line) means a good handle on emotions. If the love line has a circle on it somewhere, it means there was a bout with depression. If the line is broken anywhere there was emotional trauma in that person's life. An emotional trauma is also revealed in a love line that has small slashes through it. See if there are smaller lines above or below the love line. In palm reading, if the lines come up from the love line it shows times when the person was happy in love. If lines go down from the love line, it reveals times of disappointment.
The next line identified by palmists is the head line. This line starts at the edge of the palm under the index finger and flows across the palm towards the outside edge. Often, the head line is joined with the life line (see below) at inception. Palmists generally interpret this line to represent the person's mind and the way it works, including learning style, communication style, intellectualism, and thirst for knowledge. It is also believed to indicate a preference for creative or analytical approaches to information (i.e.,roght or left brain). Notice the length of the head line. In palm reading, a short head line shows an inclination for physical success rather than mental. A deep and long head line reveals a sharp, clear and logical thinker with focus. The deeper this line is, the better the memory. Pay attention to the characteristics of the head line. If the head line and life line are separate, it reveals an adventurous and enthusiastic person. If the head and life line join at any point, it indicates that a strong sense of mind rules over the body and that the person looks at childhood with a fearful or cautious outlook. A curvy and sloping line indicates a creative person. A wavy line indicates a person who has a short attention span and is a shallow thinker. A straight line implies the person is a realist. Determine whether the head line has any interruptions. A broken line reveals an inconsistent thinker, someone who may have even had a nervous breakdown. A donut or cross in the head line marks emotional turmoil. Multiple crosses represent crucial life decisions.
Finally, readers look at perhaps the most controversial line on the hand, the life line. This line extends from the edge of the palm above the thumb and travels in an arc towards the wrist. This line is believed to represent the person's vitality and vigor, physical health and general well being. The life line is also believed to reflect major life changes, including cataclysmic events, physical injuries, and relocations. Contrary to popular belief, modern palmists generally do not believe that the length of a person's life line is tied to the length of a person's life. Note the length of the life line. In a palm reading, a short and shallow life line indicates the person lets others control his life. A long and deep life line reveals a long, healthy and vital life. Examine the characteristics of the life line. A line that stays very close to the thumb indicates a person that suffers from fatigue. A curvy line represents energy. A line that curves into a semicircle reveals strength and enthusiasm. If the line is straight, the person is cautious in relationships and protects himself from giving too much in love. Having multiple life lines represents extra vitality and positive forces. Recognize the interruptions in the life line for a proper palm reading. A break in the life indicates sudden life changes. Lines that stretch up from the life line reveal a person who recovers easily. Lines that stretch downward from the life line means the person wastes energy.
Additional major lines or variations include:

A Simian Crease, or fusing of the heart and head lines, has special significance in that both emotional as well as reasoning nature have to be studied from this line alone. The peculiar line is thought to be a combination of the head and heart lines on such hands that are separately marked on the rest of the hands.

According to Cheiro, this line is thought to endow a person with an intensity of purpose or single-mindedness, the nature of which is decided upon by exact position of this line on the hand and the direction of any branches shooting from it, which is normally the case. In hands where such a line exists without any branches as a singular mark, it indicates an extremely intense nature and special care is needed for such persons. The normal position for the line is starting below the index finger and ending where normally the heart line terminates at the edge of the hand below the little finger, indicating average interests for the person and the intense side of the nature is decided purely by the direction of any branches shooting from it.

The upper half of the palm lying immediately below the fingers is considered to represent the higher or intellectual nature and the lower half of the palm to represent the materialistic side of the nature. If one of these halves is larger than the other as decided by the central placement of the head line or in this case the single transverse palmar crease it shows greater development of that aspect of the nature. Based on this general principle, if this line is placed below its abovementioned normal position it indicates an intensely intellectual nature; if it is placed above its normal position it indicates an intensely materialistic nature and interests.

The direction in which any branches may be found shooting from this line have a significant impact on the nature of this line resulting in suitable modifications from the above defined results depending on the nature of the mounts on the hand. For instance, if a branch from this line shoots to the mount of Moon lying on the lower edge of the hand exactly opposite the thumb, it indicates an intensely vacillating nature and emotional temperament.
The fate line runs from the bottom of the palm near the wrist, up through the center of the palm towards the middle finger. This line is believed to be tied to the person's life path, including school and career choices, successes and obstacles. Sometimes this line is thought to reflect circumstances beyond the individual's control, or alternately the person's choices and their consequences.
Other minor lines:

Sun Line - parallel to the Fate Line, under the ring finger; believed to indicate fame or scandal
Girdle of Venus - starts between the little and ring fingers, runs in a rough arc under the ring and middle fingers to end between the middle and pointer fingers; thought to relate to emotional intelligence and the ability to manipulate
Union Lines - short horizontal lines found on the percussive edge of the palm between the Heart Line and the bottom of the little finger; believed to indicate close relationships, sometimes - but not always - romantic.
Mercury Line - runs from the bottom of the palm near the wrist, up through the palm towards the little finger; purported to be an indicator of persistent health issues, business acumen, or skill in communication.
Travel Lines - these are horizontal lines found on the percussive edge of the palm between the wrist and the heart line; each line is said to represent a trip taken by the subject - the longer the line, the more important the trip is to the subject.
Other Markings - these include stars, crosses, triangles, squares, tridents, and rings under each of the fingers; their supposed impact and meaning varies by location on the palm and freedom from other interfering lines.
"Apollo Line" - the Apollo line means to have a fortunate life; it travels from the Mount of the Moon at the wrist to beneath the Apollo finger.

Depending on the type of palmistry practiced, and the type of reading being performed, palmists may analyze various qualities of the hand, including the shapes and flexibility of the hand, palm, and fingers; the color and texture of the skin and fingernails; the relative sizes of the palm and fingers; the prominence of the knuckles; and numerous other attributes of the hands.

Although variations abound, the most common classifications used by modern palmists:

Earth hands are generally identified by broad, square palms and fingers, thick or coarse skin, and ruddy color. The length of the palm from wrist to the bottom of the fingers is usually equal to the length of the fingers.
Air hands exhibit square or rectangular palms with long fingers and sometimes protruding knuckles, low-set thumbs, and dry skin. The length of the palm from wrist to the bottom of the fingers is usually less than the length of the fingers.
Water hands are recognizable by the long, sometimes oval-shaped palm, with long, flexible, conical fingers. The length of the palm from wrist to the bottom of the fingers is usually less than the width across the widest part of the palm, and usually equal to the length of the fingers.
Fire hands are characterized by a square or rectangular palm, flushed or pink skin, and shorter fingers. The length of the palm from wrist to the bottom of the fingers is usually greater than the length of the fingers.

Here's a link to what I use. It's real simple and easier to remember and understand. Girls love palm reading. Found this out at high school and I was just making it up then off the top of my head. Often, I'll take a girl's hand, start looking at it, tracing her lines. She knows exactly what I'm doing and gets all excited. I usually thrown her hand off then......and build the anticipation until she is pleading with me to read her palm. Total chick-crack. Along with The Cube, my two favourites.

Being in Japan, the whole palm thing will work wonders . . .

To really make it work, (in terms of game) you should know more than just the basics. The routine works because it's like a poker game, she thinks you're bullshitting . . . then you spread out your full house: "You suffered a head injury at age ____." Or, "Oh My God, you're married! You married when you were 20!" Or, "Did one of your parents already pass away?" . . . "Why did you drop out of school so young?" Not always but very often I'll nail specifics within a 1 or 2 year time frame.

How I learned all this? Long story but I think there's plenty information out there . . . you'll need to practice and read lots of palms with trusting people. Guys who go, "Well, you'll live a long life and make lots of money and you're very friendly and blah, blah, blah . .." are ridiculous. They might get the chick but it certainly won't have anything to do with the palm routine.

So here's one routine (I think I have more than I can count but this is the easiest and)

While chatting with a girl and she tells you something (preferably personal) You just pick her hand up, turn the palm up, look at it for a few seconds, then just drop it like it was nothing.

Her: What? What? Do you read palm? No you don't. You bullshit.
You: (Just shrug your shoulders) So you were saying that you _____ 5 years ago?

Her: Come on what did you see. Do you really read palm? (She'll offer her palm to read)

. . . If she isn't this interested. You just drop the palm topic and continue chatting but soon after, offer her a whammy regarding her past. You just have to have the fortitude and believe in your "palm reading" skills and just blurt out something like, "Do you have migrane head aches? When did it start? About 3 years ago?" . . . . (Continuation of this routine later)

. . . If she is very curious,

You: No, no . . . I don't really do that so much any more. I'm not very good at it and once really scared somebody half to death. He was so worried, he couldn't sleep well for a month.

Her: Oh My God . . . but it's OK, just read mine for me. Just tell me the good things. I don't mind.

You can tease her more but eventually, you give up and,

You: (Just look at her hand very carefully. Work the fingers, hold hands together. Clasp them your hands together as if you're measuring things. Look up and down at her face. Smile. . . Look . . . but don't say anything)

Her: What? What's going on?
You: Uhm. . . nothing. I told you, I don't really read hands. I'm just happy to hold your hand.

Her: You!
You: No, You! You forced me to hold your hands . . .

Stare at her . . . bright smile . . . K CLOSE!

Or . . .

Both: Blah, blah, bah ha ha ha

(Now she doesn't believe you read palm at all but knows you are certainly interested in her. So this is when you give her the whammy as shown above. Specific past occurences with a solid time frame.)

Realizing the next set of routines will take way too long to write. So that's it. The above will take you far. . .
