theres this girl that likes me and she always wants to talk and i try to seem busy a lot of times and she calls me and i try to talk about stuff and get her to talk about stuff but she answers in 1 word answers. any advice? any conversation topics that is cool to talk about with a girl? i dont want to ask her generic questions about stuff like school and work

Now I have run into girls like this before. They want you. They want to talk to you. But they're not talkative. So what I do is talk. Tell them stories. Ask opinions and open ended questions. And than leave or hang up or log out. Don't seem frustrated or exasperated by her. Just talk. If you want to be good with women you have to start liking the sound of your voice. Hahaha.

You're not just opening this girl. You aren't running an initial routine on her or checking for IOI's or looking to close. You've done that already. You know she already likes you. I don't know the details of the story but if you say that she likes you but doesn't talk very much you do the talking. Make her laugh. But try to do this in person. Tell her you don't have much time to talk and you're not much of a phone person. Or that you don't want her swooning over your voice without you being there in person. Lol. I find that quitter girls are easier to seduce.
