I have a HB 10 who I haven’t spoken to for 3.5 years suddenly msg me on facebook chat. We get talking and find out we’ve both transferred universities and have ended up at the same one. It was an odd conversation that went something like:

Her: You’re at ANU? Oh we should rendezvous.

Me: Well you’re in luck. I have a free on tuesday.

Her: Rendevous! where to? my place, say 2
And we can do anything you wanna do
Hey, toniiiight is your niiiiight yeah

Me: No thanks. Don’t like sleeping at others peoples houses.

She then says ‘No. That’s a Craig David song lame-oid. Anyway call me and we’ll meet up.’

The thing is- she is a compulsive flirt. In the time I’ve known her, she likes the thrill of having boys chase her. When we used to be friends when I was an AFC and I was probably guilty of paying her too much attention.

I am approaching this warily. I have a feeling she could be using me as a flirting device (she does have a boyfriend). But I’d like to play this as a challenge. In a way, she has really good game and I would like to pit mine against hers.

That was three days ago and I haven’t called her or msged her. Today she just poked me on facebook.

How should I respond? I want to keep it casual which is why I don’t want to call her to arrange anything (Calling, to me, seems like a IOI and Im not sure I should give her any).

Maybe a short, whimsical text back in response to her facebook poke? Basically, I don’t want to actively pursue her (I’m guessing this is what she wants). She likes the attention that the average guy heaps upon her. But for some reason, after no contact for years, she’s suddenly decided she wants to see me? How would you guys play this out?

I would say don't overthink it. She's either using you, or she's into you. It doesn't matter either way. You've got other shit going on in your life, so you don't have to chase her. If she wants to hang out with you, make her work for it, just don't push her away too hard. Just maintain your frame and you'll be set.

If you want to pit your wits against hers then you are well of the mark. You are responding to everything she does. She pokes you on facebook and now you want to send her a text. Sometimes you just don't have to do anything. If you keep responding to all her actions she's still in control and you are still an afc.

If I was you I would wait a couple of days after gettin the poke. Then send her a random text that doesn't mention the poke. Shows her that it didn't catch your attention and that she'll have to try harder.

How do you know she has a BF? Does it say on facebook? Facebook is a tool man. Obviously you must've used it to get the whole scoop on this chick already?

I dont know what you have to lose besides time or effort? IF shes teasing/using you, just turn off all exceptions that would allow you to become affected by such methods. I do not know why some chick would invite you over to hang out unless
A: She needs you to fix/help her with something
B: Intends to set you up for further use(to get her BF jealous or to get another guy)
C: Wants the cock.

Now if your with her and you see no reflections that point to choice A or B.....your good. And if you want to immediately to find out, tell her you'll take her out on your own turf that way you can make sure there's no way she cant pull any shit on you if shes really looking to do that.
