But then Ive got game...... I dont even shake guys hands, they get the half handshake half hug thing....

i do weights and sometimes work on cars so my hands use to be rough to best thing i reckon is to get some gym gloves to stop the damage and its a bit pussy but get some hand cream then u wont have to worry but bear in mind some girl do like the rough manly work mens hands to so play on it if u can

If youre one for starting with an open friendly approach (i guess there for kinda direct, rather than the indirect opener)as you open the high five, hug or a soft peck on the cheek are the alternatives.

Actually dude as i type i just thought - use what you have to your advantage !! you say you have rough hands perfect ! get her to inspect them, feel them but in a non shaking sort of way.

For eg as an opener say you "i have a exciting job interview, ive got to the final round of applicants, im feeling pretty confident but do you know the thing that i'm most nervous about ? My hands being rough! crazy i know but i wanna create a good impresion and its a female interviewer. so tell me what do you think ? "

I do the kiss the cheeks thing as well. However, I like to mix it up with something I believe I saw from a David DeAngelo video. Instead of kiss a girl's hand I turn and kiss mine at the last second and play it off like I never did it. For you I would say, "My hand hurts from working out. So I figure a kiss would make them feel better."

I always greet my guy friends with hugs ( I am a girl btw)

However, It really depends on the situation. If its informal a hug will do. I wouldn't do the kiss thing because that could make some people feel uncomfortable.
