Last night I went to a great party (some 2000 humans of which 700-800 women of which 100 HB>= 8 ). I really was in a good mood so I tried out something I never did before. I am now three months in the PUA world.

I went there with a lot of friends, among whom are a few HB8-9. I know these HB's for a long time and never really attempted to game them (strange, yes, but maybe later). What I actually did is approaching a group of 2-4 girls a few times (each time a new group) and turning really cocky with subtle sexual innenduo's + negging as hell almost right from the beginning. I tried also a bit of humor, but cockyness and negging was prevailing. The girls are obviously not into this shit so I back off leaving them with the thought "what a prick this guy is'. However, I retreat to my HB friends and we start doing are own routine, that is, a lot fun, laughter etc. This all happens in front of the girls I approached a few minutes ago. I decide to watch them noticing them to transform in really cute and friendly girls. I make eye contact with them, giving them a friendly/reassuring smile back. A few minutes later I get back to them and start out more friendly, as opposed to my first approach. The girls are really comforted at this point and the fun part of the game is on.

I did this last night three times (three groups, of which one really cold initial approach).

However, I don't really understand why all of this bullshit and pre-game is necessary (even though I learned to enjoy it). Is is the social proof the thing that does it here all? Give me some thoughts here and further comments/suggestions as I have the feeling that this part of the game can be tuned further (possibly less cocky and a little bit more funny).

I will also mention that last three months I have focused mainly on the inner game and at point I am able to approach everything and everyone almost, simply due to the fact that I don't give a fuck about the outcome. So I guess, the PUA thing works for me. However, I think I should take it more easy with the cocky thing and pushing in general. As a matter of fact, girls sometimes tell me that I am arrogant, having a big ego etc. Those who say this are often my ex-girlfriends but also some new babes let me know this. Further a few guys (not familiar wth PUA world, most of them AFC's) I know, tell me this too. Do you think it;s necessary to slow things down?

Sounds like preselection + social proof. Maybe that HB friend of yours could be your wing, have her drop in after opening friendly but with negs/time constraint.
