Since I am on set a lot as an actor, I run into a lot of celebrities like last night was with Will I am and Steve Aoki(Devon's brother)..

How do you guys network with celebs and build rapport with them? Don't say treat them like everyone else because some don't like being treated like everyone else.

What are some good topics to discuss, some behaviors to exhibit, etc..
Put yourself in my situation. Image your on set for a new Will i am music video and you're chattin it up with Will and you want to get his number for future business relations.

What do you do, hot shot?

PS: I am related to Diana Ross(she's my step aunt through my Uncle's first marriage) and was wondering if I should ever name drop or mention that I'm related to build up my perceived value in front of the celeb's eyes.. I mean, they accept you more if you're "one of them" you know?

I think saying you are related to someone like that just makes you sound like your trying to DHV too much. You don't know any other celebs? It would sound better if you could make it seem like you are friends with and hang out with other celebs rather than just being related to them. So, whoever you know that you hang out with from time to time just try to bring them into the conversation in a not too obvious way.

If you are getting a good vibe from them and they like you then just ask for their number. Why make it a big deal? They are really no different than you.
