Okay, so I was texting a girl (kinda synonomous I don't normally txt guys for more than one message) and I came up with a fun idea. I texted her asking if she thought she was a fast texter. She replied "yes" and I said, "you have five seconds to txt me your favorite color starting...NOW" she failed and I negged her "Epic fail!" And, so I thought this could work well as a number close routine. Challenge the target to a game and then see which of you can txt the other one faster. Suddenly, tada! You have her number and don't need a line at the end of the sarge to get her info. I used this on someone I already knew so I'm not sure how it will fare in the field but I'd love to see and want to find out if it works for any of you.

Pretty sure they can guess where you are coming from when you say, can I have your number so I can show you how fast I can text you lol. See where you are coming from, and a good theory. It would be good if more people can put in an input and we can all try and develop it together.

I like how that works.. You can be talking to her about whatever (during the initial convo pull your phone out unnoticed, and keep in hand and later open it as if you have something that caught your eye. Text, picture, etc. but don't mention it. just briefly notice your phone as if you just discovered it.)

Then change the thread and start talking to her about how all the girls that you know text and always hate to talk on the phone? Ask her isn't that like a waste of money to pay for text and voice when you don't ever really use the two?

It will get her going on an interesting thread that she understands and she'll fluff talk about how she doesn't like being on the phone because she hates ackward silences and more fluff talk..

from there you do a subtle interrupt after you've receieved enough information and ask if she's a fast texter?? She will then be like yes/no. Most likely yes. Then you say lets see!! you already have your phone out so then proceed to test her out

If she says no.. then get her number and say practice makes perfect (Smile). by next year you'll win every texting event. Damn, Imma make a lot of money off you!... and break up with you for getting all the attention *In a Sarcastic voice*

This would come off as douchey and immature to most of the girls I sarge. They would totally see right through it, but maybe it would work well for the high school/college crowd.
