Initial hook: Start the story with, "Have you ever met a gay cat?" After this, you'll have the undivided attention of your audience.

PUA: Ok, get this, my friend Sara, bought 3 cats some time ago. I dont know what she was thinking when she bought them, but she bought all three *male* cats. It was so funny. When I would go to her place to visit her, I would see the cats spooning each other, sometimes even licking each other.

HB: smiling

PUA: No Really. I told Sara "you know what, I think they're gay, I mean not gay by birth, but maybe prison gay...you know. I mean they havent seen a female cat in months...what are they supposed to do" So Sara started getting freaked out, its amazing how she never thought about it. And we decided one day that we're gonna do something about it, coz the last thing Sara wanted were gay cats. So we embarked on a mission to find a female cat.

HB: hehehe

PUA: And Sara had a neighbor that she really hated, he had a female cat, so once while the guy was away, we stole it and put it in the room with three male cats. Only God knows what happened then.

HB: LOL!!

Punchline: "So now her neighbor's cat is knocked up. So pretty soon I think I know where you can get your very own little gay kitten!"

Backup - No problems with you doing it dude, but in every forum you have just posted up routines, openers, stories that have either come straight of the book the Game or from Mysterys Venutian Arts Handbook. Its as if you have copied and pasted direct from the manual !!

At least credit the masters

Why do you need to learn stories in order to make you interesting?

Become interesting instead... tell your own stories... tell your own values and views...

Work on your voice tone and self-esteem and you will get the attention you want...

Don't waste time on learning weird stories... be yourself instead and enjoy it!

Some people can't really come out and say there own stories, so you have patterns and routines that will help guys out. Sure you have to memorize them but it's always gonna be the same, thus it sets up a comfort zone. You go in knowing what you are going to do and how you intend to score. There is nothing wrong with using a routine or openner. Its the exact same thing as a play book in football. You train and practice the play, go out onto the field and make the play work and eventually you will score a touchdown. But the key to it is, not to have the same play over and over again, you got to have other plays as back ups.

Pickup is supposed to be fun... not a freaking JOB...

Come on dudes... forget routines...

do you really not have interesting things to say about yourlife... and then share your emotions and values on them to create deep rapport?

what do you talk to a friend about?

just approach them the right way and have deep rapport as you have with a good friend... they'll really feel connected to you and never leave your side...

i like hearing other peoples dhv stories but i wouldent bother using something that isent from personal experiance.
in fact the only times i use dhv stories is by accident,or if it just crops up iin conversation!

Canned material sucks.

And my honest opinion is that this one sucks hard.

Its just so weird that I would never use it, even thinking about saying something like this when it actually never happened just creeps me out.

Lol, Stetson, canned material only sucks if you're not comfortable with it.

The whole purpose of canned material is to help newbies on the way to mastering "natural" game. I find it funny that so many "natural game" instructors simply teach attitudes and "inner game" without giving any example of usable material. That being said, NOT EVERY ROUTINE is good for every guy or every situation.

There are some of Mystery's canned routines that I would NEVER use (like the 80's dog routine) only because they are SOOOOO alien from my reality and I'm not even familiar with crazy bands like ""Boy George" and "Duran Duran" and their songs.

But this "Gay Cat" routine is pretty generic, anyone can use it. Plus if you've ever had a neighbor who has cats, it's doubly ironic.

If you do use someone else's canned material, my take on it is "it's your call". In other words, if you think it's easy and fun, use it - if it's a struggle, don't. And MOST IMPORTANTLY, I don't use high-energy material if I don't feel enough vibe. THAT is how most canned routines fail. If you get a fun, playful vibe going (a la Mehow Method) then the "Gay Cats" routine KICKS ASS!

We do give examples of what to say, just not so much. We try to make guys understand why saying that something works.

We just don't hand the material over, first we teach inner game and some right attitudes to attract women, then we might give some good examples of what to say, along with explaining whats in it.

Canned material sucks because you can do better by yourself! Understand that.

That's interesting... this is exactly what I do... As a student of Swinggcat and Ross Jeffries, I learned attitudes and frames first, then material.
I know that I can.... this isn't about me. Some guys who just got into the game can't.

Canned material is like training wheels. Of course it won't work without the attitudes. Just in the same way that beginners can't use the attitudes without material. I'm not endorsing ALL canned material for ALL people. Just SOME of it for beginners who are in the process of internalizing the attitudes.

I find that aspiring PUAs often have trouble with TWO pitfalls; either they end up relying only on canned lines, or they become "inner game" junkies who stay home and never field-test their new knowledge. I just find that most naturals I've met don't know how to teach game to a non-natural because they have never had to "figure it out" the PUA way. I haven't taken your course so I'm NOT judging it. But if you can improve my game, then by all means I will eat my words.

That being said, I think the "gay cats" routine is EXCELLENT when used in the right CONTEXT, and I will use it.
