| two esp routines i've learned through reading/online that i thought i'd share.. the one needs a pencil paper and some math, but its still pretty cool.
the first esp trick, you ask your target for any 4 digit number. on a seperate piece of paper, you right down a number that is 2 digits higher in the thousandths place, and 2 digits lower in the ones place so.. if the number was 4564, you would write down 6562. after you do this you give them, or whoever, the number that you wrote down and tell them not to look at it. back to the original number, have them write down a 3 digit number underneath it. here, you have to write down a number that will make their digits add up to 999. so if they wrote 876 you would write 123. ask for another 3 digit number and do the same thing.. now have someone add all the numbers together. once the numbers have been added, tell the person that you gave your "prediction" to to open it up and read it out loud. i've gotten good responses with this, but it may not work with people that are really perceptive to whats going on because you're controlling where the numbers add up to because you have the last input.. still cool though.
the second one you don't need anything for, just a target..this doesn't always work, but when it does it'll leave them blown away. real easy too. have a target pick a number from 1-10. doesn't matter what they pick..tell them to take their number and multiply it by 9. and then add the digits together ( 18, 1+8). no matter what number they chose, they'll get 9 after they add the digits. tell them to subtract 5 from their answer.. so now their at 4. then you say "if a=1, b=2, c=3, and so on, get the letter that corresponds with your number".. heres where it has a chance to go wrong.. most likely they'll chose Denmark as a country, but sometimes i've had people chose the Dominican Republic.. anyways, tell them to think of an animal that starts with the last letter of the country they chose. Most of the time they'll pick a Kangaroo. the only other choice they have is Koala which will change the last answer slightly. after that, tell them to think of a fruit that starts with the last letter of the animal they chose. so that would be "o", in which they would pick orange. so now for the delivery, you say something like "were you thinking of a kangeroo in denmark, eating an orange?"..if they chose koala, it orange would just change to apple.. when done right the looks you'll get are priceless..i had a girl on my arm for a week asking me how to do it.
