There's this girl I have a small crush on at my local breakfast diner. I go in every sunday, typically by myself. Anyways she has ALWAYS given me tons of IOI's and finally had an opportunity to ask her out. She responded very enthusiastically and handed me her number before I could even motion in any way for it.

Called and left a message and she got back to me a couple hours later via text, here's how it went

Her "Hey it's xxxxx sorry I didn't answer i've been busy all day, but anyways how are you"
Me "I'm great, just woke up from a quick nap"
Me "I have tonight off, say coffee and a bank robbery around 7?"
Her "lol i'm actually getting ready to head to school right now I don't get out till late...But hey I wanted to ask you how old are you"
(mind you I'm young but I commonly am mistaken for 30-40)
Me "oh man, that question can only imply I look old"
Her "haha you don't look old, it's just I look alot older then I really am and I don't think you knew that when you asked me out for coffee, but I didn't know how to say it right away"
Me "Well I tell my students i'm 100, people mistake me for 40, but thankfully i'm only 24"
Me "that begs the question how old are you?"
Her "Well I actually turned 19 a couple months ago" (totally thought she was my age or older)
me "well happy belated birthday, you made it out to be that you were like 15 or 16, got kinda nervous for a bit"
me "anyways I just had a buddy who called who's car broke down and needs a hand, when's a good time to call? (hour passes)
Her "hahaha no not that young, but I have to be honest 24 is a little too old for me :/ I hope i'm not being rude"
Me "honesty isn't rude, but it's seriously just a number. Tell you what, one cup of coffee and if you aren't feeling it at least i'll have someone to help me out with my homework"

She never responded after that. I'll see her again likely this sunday and was thinking about teasing her that I need to go refill my viagra prescription and get fitted for a longer walking stick, or i'm afraid I might fall and break my hip or how my week was going great until some girl told me I was old. Something along those lines, is there a different way I could have handled this? I don't feel like I got a complete no, more like a "not right now" or she's just nervous that she gave her number to a complete stranger. Whatever it is I don't feel like giving up so soon. Tips?

You didnt get a no, you just need to deal with the objection, change the perspective.
Qualify her in a way that she would be more mature for her age and make her look up to you.
Not you trying to fit in her list.

So far you are pretty good with teasing, you got this just be water.

I had the same thought, to me it's incredibly ignorant to rule someone out based off a number that could have been easily lied about. That is, if the age thing is truly the problem. I'm the catch here, not her. I have no problem moving to another chick when needed, but I want to get better first.

I forgot to ask this. What are some methods of making her qualify herself? Obviously she's going to take the bate of whatever I tease her about but extra ideas are always great.

I was thinking along the lines of "some people just aren't mature enough to recognize a good thing" or "you're right, my ex fiance was 4 years younger then me and she turned out to be horrible, don't want that again" "when you're done with the boys you can step up to a man who knows how to treat a lady"

Not that those are good or not, just ideas. I certainly won't try and convincer her because I don't have to prove myself to anyone.

Me too Wait hold on i'm 37 and just banged a 20 year old last week. Dude just don't make in an issue and if she tells you your told old its just a shit test. Tell her shes to young and that she probably is not mature enough for you. Flip that crap on her.

Oh no I get it, 5 years is nothing. I was looking for input of options more then validation of myself. I thought I responded well I just wanted to know ways to play it from here on. I'm not looking to bang a bunch of chicks, just want to use the knowledge i've picked up to find a quality girl. If I bang a few on my journey then so be it.

The couple lines you give earlier were great, but once she complied to your lines remember to reward the compliance and neg the no compliance other then that you got a solid game.

I'll keep that in mind for next time. I shot her a text last night with no response along the lines of
"I have a craving for ice cream but since i'm so old i'm afraid once I leave my house i'll forget where I live so you're gonna need to come with me"


I didn't get a response, nor am I expecting one. I'll play it off when I eat there next time, really just enjoying the practice. I obviously did something that turned her off. Could be I use to bring my ex there all the time or I was being too much of a smartass. In any event, next.
