On a recent night sarging, my friend were with 2 girls and were doing fine with our pick up. Mid set his girl asks him if he had ever read "The Game" and my girl asks me if we were really like this, or just gaming.

Outside the same night, we were outside with different girls (our wingwomen) and 3 guys appeared in our group from out of no where. One was talking to the girls, the other 2 were distracting me and my friend. After watching a guy SPIN one of our wingwomen, we knew what was going on, we were being winged. We took the guys aside and found out they were also PUAs in the field.

The community is exposed. Girls know about our routines, and guys know how to execute them. And its only going to get worse. On the myspace log in screen on the bottom left page is a link to Neil Strauss' new book, "The rules of the Game".
What this means is that gaming needs to be more original, and if you are reading this, then you've obviously started looking into the community deeper than what on TV or in the book.

Here is a list of stuff I would NOT use because it was in the book or on the VH1 show, or has been used like crazy

-Did you see the fight outside?
-I need a girls opinion on something, my buddies gf kissed another girl, is that cheating? (or anything that is like that: who lies more, men or women, my buddies gf still sees her ex bf, my buddy still sees his ex gf and his gf isn't cool with that, etc etc)
-you can dress her up but you cant take her anywhere
-introduce me to your friends its the polite thing to do
-whoa, whoa, $5 dollars, i charge for that, etc etc
-i'm trying really hard not to kiss you
-you blink alot
-spinning a girl
-best friends test
-5 questions game

Be original and be yourself.

I still disagree, yes some girls know about it and you are exposed by them in front of their friends... But for every set that knows what you are doing, there is 100 other that have no idea. Just keep moving, and as I have posted earlier, get your own routines as soon as possible...

this is why u alter the material to make it ur own and dont copy it word for word. that should be common sense.

i have always been original even before i found the community its all about coming up with shit on the fly as the coversation progresses i never use the exact things i have seen or read about on here or anywhere i use variations of it as to be original. and even if it fails i think of new shit on the fly all the time as not to end my encounter with anyone

I have to disagree with you there. Routines are stepping stones to learning how to talk naturally. They are to be thrown away ASAP. What is more important the 20 min you do use routines or the hours, days, months, years maybe, that you don't? Throw those cans away and start using some fresh fruit in your cooking.

Sorry, I might have been a bit vague here... English is not my mothertounge. I agree with you, routines are good. It is great to use to practice and you could also run your game entirely by other peoples routines.
Still the question was about if you should fear AFCs that have read the game because they can expose you as a player. To this I think there is only one solution, get your own stuff. On the other hand, I can live with getting rejected by some sets if I know that the rest of the sets will work so I still use canned routines myself once in a while!

This is just something I've slowly come to realize:

You may regret it later on with a girl you really connect with if you run a common routine on her, and she either finds out or you feel like you devalued her by running that played out crap on someone so special.

I've recently gone over the 100th cold approach (hurray!), I use canned stuff all the time, though I do try to develop my own material as well (which I share with you guys...). I've not been called out once, and I'd really expect people in London to have a clue. Clearly, PU is not yet as mainstream as some fear. For the beginners (such as myself), do use canned lines - I can pretty much guarantee that you'll get caught out on less than 1% of your sarges. Just treat it as being blown off, and move on.



Roads: I disagree. You seem to see pickup as something shameful. If that someone is special, they will appreciate the fact that you have improved yourself because you weren't happy with your life. That is, as long as you tell them yourself. Pickup is merely a self-improvement tool, nothing more.

I've had that talk with a bunch of my good female friends, and not a single one seemed opposed to the idea of pickup. Most of them actually made the remark that I actually understand women much better than I used to, and they'd really value that in a boyfriend.

DISCLAIMER: unless you play ross jeffries and run evil shit like the october man - which I personally find despicable, considering how much that can fuck a girl up. That is, in my mind, the one exception to the rule. Fortunately the evil patterns are safely guarded (or at least used to be...) and also very, very, very advanced.
