Ask your target to repeat after you
Me: Repeat after me!
Me: 7
Target: 7
Me: 77
Target: 77
Me: 777
Target: 777
Me: 7777
Target: 7777
Me: 77,777
Target: 77,777
Me: 777,777
Target: 777,777
Me: Now think of a vegetable (don't give her too much time to think)
Me: Okay you got it?
Me: Is it carrot?
Target: OMG, yes it is! How did you know that!

It's carrot everytime, don't ask me how it works, it just does!

Haha used to do that, never figured out why it's carrot

I'd have to test this to be sure, but I'm thinking you could just do a basic mind reading routine and tell her to think of a vegetable and not even bother with all the 77 stuff. She'd probably say carrot anyway since it's one of the most common vegetables.

Another idea I just thought of was tell her that the game is to repeat exactly what you say. Then do the 7s thing. When you finally get to the point where you are like "Now think of a vegetable, got it?" If she doesn't repeat that sentence then you can be like "Haha, I won!" If she does keep repeating you, then be like "No no, the repeat part is over, but lemme guess, you were thinking about a carrot?"

Of course, if she repeats you and then says she was thinking of arugula or some shit, then this routine fails completely.

I tried the carrot thing without reading about it. I just went with a Derren Brown; "Think of a vegetable really clearly. Imagine drawing it on a blackboard. Now look deep in to my eyes and try to mentally shout it. SHOUT IT!"

The first time I tried this, my mate had just done a 5 minute complicated mind reading routine. Mine was 10 seconds. She was far more impressed by mine!

I tried it a second time on two girls. It didn't work for either.

The odds weren't convincing enough for me to continue.

I tried it earlier today too. But I did my version with the secondary test of repeating what I said. She didn't guess carrot either, but she said "Ok" when I said "Now think of a vegetable". So I called her out and told her she failed because the test was to repeat exactly what I said.

Remember, your set will try to fuck up your routine no matter what you do, so if you build in some secondary fallback options you can use those once they fuck up your primary.
