Hello everyone, I just joined a few days ago so I am still a newbie.

So the past week I felt like a HB8 was quite interested in me and she would text/message me without me even needing to find her and would ask if I am home yet. However, as I supplicated and showed some desperation she started to pull away. We would talk less and less and our conversation topics would become more boring. (This is all through text btw, I only met her once) I know where I went wrong now and I am thinking I should freeze out for a bit. So I am curious how to initiate freezing out. Do I just suddenly ignore her for a few days or what?

You only met her once. There is your answer. You cant freeze out a girl that isnt interested, thats the most retarded thing I've ever heard.

You got her number, txt once or twice and bullshit a little bit, but CALL HER AND SET UP A DAY2.
The more you text, the more entrenched she will be in your text conversations = the less likely she will be to meet up with you. I hate to break it to you mate but you are just that random guy that texts her every once in a while.

You obviously do not know where you are wrong. Stop texting her, do something with your life, and when you are taking a break from the awesome adventure that is your very existence, you can THEN call her, talk a bit, and tell her you want to see her.

Now you are just comfortable because your ego is stroked and you have a girl texting you. When she stops texting you, you panic and try to come up with useless junk tactics to get her to text you again. You're better than that mate.

The bolded is your problem. Freezeout works when she WANTS to talk to you. If your conversations were you-initiated and boring, do you think that she will want to her-initiate the texting?
You should just make it short and sweet.

YOU: "Hey babe guess what?"
HB: "What?"
YOU: "No really, guess."
HB: "Haha i don't knoiw, *some random stuff*"
YOU: "No, *this and that awesome stuff*. Sorry gotta run."

Keep her on pins and needles. And give her a reason to text you. Say that you're going to do something awesome the next day, don't invite her with you. She will have a reason to txt you and to ask you about it, and you will have an interesting topic to talk about. Just remember to cut her off when she listens to you the most.

Oh yea, and get her to meet you in person again:)
