So, a bit of backstory:
I met this girl, HB 8, at a party. Hung out with her for a bit, and realized she was pretty drunk (I was DDing like usual, so I was totally sober). Because of this, I sort of backed off the game a bit for two reasons: 1) I didn't really want to take her home drunk, that's no fun, and 2) I didn't need to waste all my game on her if she was drunk (no, I'm not saying it's easier, but I can be more natural in this situation). That night, she said I was "cute," drunk kissed me (emphasis on the drunk), and asked ME to add her on Facebook. I obliged. We met a couple times later that night, but not for more than 5-7 minutes at a time.
Two days later, I send her a message like "Hey, we should do something again soon, as long as you can remember my name!" (she had to ask me a few times because she was so drunk at the party - I didn't count it as an IOD really). Used that for a bit of a neg. I then ask her if she knows of any more house parties casually, she says no, and I cut off the convo pretty quickly after that, just not replying.
Today, we had the following conversation:

Me: "Hey, it's your lucky day!"
HB8: "why's that?"
Me: "Because I thought about you, and decided to send you a message, of course!
HB: lol. It is a lucky day"
Me: "Haha indeed. I was feeling so generous today! So, what kind of trouble are you getting yourself into today? [:P]"
HB: "not a whole lot... I have a cold and all I want to do is sleep when I should be studying. how bout you?"
Me: "Well, after taking a final today, I want to sleep as well. That sucks that you have a cold, hope it's not contagious through the internet! [;)] You probably should be studying, what do you need to get ready for? I've only have one tomorrow, but it's the one I really don't want to take for sure. I'd ask you to take it for me, but I'm not sure if I trust you yet... heh."
HB: "I have a chinese final and its all oral... I'm screwed. what final do you have tomorrow? I'm sure I'd ace it. lol"
Me: "Haha, you're not screwed orally just yet! [:D] haha had to make the joke. Chinese, huh? Sounds like you are cultural! I always liked that in people. I have BioAnthro, I'm not sure you could ace it lol... It's a lot of memorization (which I hate, but can do somewhat well), and I just got done studying for like 3 hours straight. About to go to bed. Here, I don't check Facebook that often anymore, and FB chat just bums me out, lol. Give me your number, and I'll just text you next chance I get."


So, basically, I did a bit of negging, what looks like a compliance test, cocky-funny, DHVing, and showing her my interests and what I like in a woman, not to mention the directness of asking for a number. I just sent that last message, and it's pretty late, so I don't expect her to message back tonight. She had a long break of messaging, up to like 4 hours before she replied, but I won't look too much into it. I'm sure she was busy, and still seemed interested in her following messages.
Any tips/advice/criticisms? Let me know what I'm doing wrong, and what I should add/alter if necessary.

i would not claim i am a super hero at this... but i get a vibe that her text lengths and time to respond could have been the indicators of her investment level yet..
i mean nothing is so-screwed up yet.. but i would have gone to ask her number when i get the feeling of her investment levels matching mine. If she responds within minutes then i would chat her up a little bit with funny/cocky statements and then as soon as the momentum reaches the peak, i would go for the close (this works on FB chats as well, trust me).
In this case, the text lengths exceed way more than hers. When negging, let her play with it a while, and then go for the number pretending that even if she does not give u the number, it would not affect your inner game.
something like :

You:" ... I'm not sure you could ace it lol...!! . Its for people with brains (lots of memorization).., not sure if you could handle it.. as they say, pretty girls have small brains.. "
Her : (i already aced it when i was a kid ... blah blah...shut up.. blah blah.)
You:" Aite talk to you later, time to go to bed.. hey, i have this tentative party invite that you can bring your frends to... gimme your number, and we'll catch up "
OR
You: " Aite ciao, I have been studying 3 hr straight now, time to sleep. btw just so you know, FB chat sucks..!!
you should gimme your number, since i plan to light my pc to fire next time i had to perform an FB chat ceremony with anyone...!! "

Breaking your messages short (with your each msg funny/interesting) would keep her involved n would allow u to depict non-neediness.

This is probably not the best advice you could get, but i would have made this work for me.
Anyway, let us all know what happens next.

Yeah, I get you. I was actually wondering if my messages were too long. No problem though, she replied with the number less than an hour later. I'll text her sometime today after my final, and see how it goes. Will keep this updated with new developments.
