I'm wondering if you know any better 'counter' and how I could handled this on a better way?


A few days ago on the couch at a birthday party, when I was chatting/flirting/having a good time with HB-1 on the couch and HB-2 and HB-3 eating snack&probably also listening to us. (I noticed HB-2, looked our way a few times)

Than 5 minutes later HB-2 said to me:
"Riceboy, you have become better looking" (in a sincere,cute tone)

Than she went back on her snack

At that moment I didn't knew what to say and said: "k...Thank you..., You too"

when I saw HB-1 she was like "k....."

later in the evening HB-1 texted to me the exact same line.
and I didn't knew know how to respond at that time and I respond back with something like:
"that's my line to tell you, but you said quiker/faster than me"


yeah I'm AFC and fcked up


Now I would respond something like :
"I know" or ask her: "So...I wasn't good looking before?"(playful way ofc)

I would advise you to use self-depricating humor in situations like this or just say "Thank you."

I caution that when you use self-depricating humor, make sure that what you say comes across as confident and humble.
