I tend to update mine a lot. Mainly because I get bored on the 3 hours a day I spend shuttling around London. Most of my updates therefore tend to be running commentary of my slow decent into a rage-filled madness thanks to the 83 to Hendon.

(OT note; No irratating London Transport Robot Woman. I will not mind the gap between the train and the platform. Fuck you.)

But then I never game on facebook. Because my Mum's on it, and bless her she thinks I'm such a nice boy.

I hardly ever update mine, only if its something I think is good. Updating frequently about everything you are doing displays lower value, because your needing attention. I hear people all the time saying how annoying peoples mundane status updates are that nobody could careless about, so I went for "____ is doing something that nobody cares about.". Responses and likes were interestingly all off girls, some got it, and those who didn't were funnily just really curious and asked me to just tell them what I was doing.

Haha yet another one that made me chuckle...

I've never really gotten into Facebook game, but I enjoy trying new things so perhaps I'll try it out soon enough.

It helps create and build social connections, if you think FB statuses are DLV then sorry - you're a retard.

I don't know if this has ben talked about before, but there's a million fb threads and i can't find it.

Anyone have any thoughts about exclusivity on facebook? What i mean is, should i have my profile set to private and why?

I'm just trying to generate a conversation and get opinions. At this point, i'm on the fence.

Brilliant thread and some good suggestions. I've found one way of getting lots of girls to chat on facebook is to make fun of something like the X-factor in your status, I did that recently and ended up sparking off something like 40 comments.

those statuses work quite well, i have found.
since farmville sucks and everyone hates it it gets a lot of responses. its pretty easy to do. just find a popular song and try to fit "farmville" in the chorus somewhere
