I bet at least 1/5 of the highly desirable women out there have heard it before. It's hard to recover from someone calling you on a canned opener.
The next thing to do after your opener is false time constraint, if you haven't used that in your opener. After that, you either DHV or neg. Whatever you do at this point is your choice, because the next thing you do will be the other one, ie. DHV first, then neg, or vice versa. The DHV can really be anything that displays higher S and R value.
That'll cover the first thirty to sixty seconds of your pickup.
However, the most important thing to your pickup is your non-verbal body language. When you first approach, remember to not show too much interest too quickly. When you use your opener, you should be looking at the set, but have your feet pointing away. Don't turn toward the set until you DHV or neg. And remember, during the initial approach, you need to show that you are only there to make new friends, you're not trying to pick them up. You are a PUA, you don't care about what they think. If they don't like you, you'll forget them and move to the next set. Make that your mindset for pickup and you'll be amazed at the result.
