Push-pull with body language

I've been slowly working this into my game, with some success, but A LOT of failure, as it's counter-intuitive for me. How do you guys do it?

Use things like hand throws, body roll offs, etc. It's learning how to time it properly and calibrate them with IOIs and IODs to make them effective.

Is the push-pull thing kind of like "pecking"? Where you lean in to talk to a girl, then lean back, then lean in to listen, then lean back, so on and so forth...

Body language is the language of the amygdala; the part of the brain which controls emotion and attraction and overrides spoken language. I'm not sure as I haven't seen Gamblers "stealth attraction" course but from what I can gather this is the core principle of it.
