They like it because there is no pressure to force conversation. In other words, there are no awkward pauses, and if she doesn't like where the conversation is going, she can just stop texting without feeling guilty or awkward. Furthermore, girls text a lot with their friends, also, so they are used to that form of communication.

Texting can be very good if you are not confident in your phone game. It also can go to your advantage if you play it correctly. I personally dont mind it.
