I wish to seek opinions on a variation on the 5-lies game by Style

Does it matter if the game has more than 5 questions as long as its not dragged out and getting boring?

My ending variation would ideally go something like this.

(Questions and answers from 1 - 3 as normal)

Me: Q4 ...
HB: Q4 Answer ...

Me: "WOW I've never been beaten at this before... ok... *look of graceful defeat* what's that you're drinking?" *discretely pointing at her glass/bottle then proceed to grab my wallet* (Because most people who hustle, have the attitude "I'll have the same again" because it's familiar to them or they like it).

(I'd only ever plan on using this variable if she already has an easily recognisable drink or bottle)

HB: 'it's a...'

Me: You know what? *puts wallet back in pocket* that sounds wonderful - Thanks very much

BAM! (Game over)

I really like the original structure of this routine but just want to mix it up a little and keep it fresh.

I know this isn't 100% fail proof either as she may want something different and say "actually I'll have a ... instead" but if this was the case, I see this as an opportunity to 'lead' her to the bar, away from her friends (isolate to escalate) and make her further qualify herself before I actually buy her that drink.

What do you guys think?

i actually really like it. it kind of leads to a win-win situation. you can buy her a drink in a playful way, but if you do eventually lose and have to buy her a drink, you should make her qualify herself on the way to the bar..that makes it a win-win

I'm going to be testing this out in the field and I'll post my feedback on how it goes.
This structure takes full advantage of the fact the woman thinks they got one over on the guy and that my game has backfired and their gluttony (greed) takes over.

I feel it’s the perfect balance in theory so I will update, in the meantime any other comments would be appreciated.

I was thinking as an add on if I can't get her separated from her friends for the drink if the mother hen starts clucking, I'd play it cool and say something along the lines, "actually I don't want a drink because I'm not getting drunk tonight".

(bearing in mind I wouldn't even accept the drink anyway if I'm successful in separating her from her friends, its just a ploy to isolate to start escalating)

then something like:

"I tell you what, I'll let you off if you tell me your worst ever pick-up line you've ever heard".

After hearing her line, whatever it may be, I'd turn to her friends in astonishment and accuse her of hitting on me, DHV to the rest of the group (effectively freezing her out a little)

Again its all in theory and I'm itching to test this out, but it will be a couple of days until I can go out (darn you monthly payroll!).

-- i like that. that way you never end up buying her a drink. you could even possibly throw something in like "..don't get any ideas about the drink. i'm leaving with my friends tonight"
