Anyway now im taking it way more seriously and im beginning up and scripted is needed until im a bit better. Anyway
How to make a story
Beginning
Middle
End
Example: I was in my house, i left it and i came back.
-------------------------
Now if you read story structure books they make it more indepth but a simple guide for you means you can even make them up on the spot (by make them up, i mean structure something thats happened into a story not make up a plot).
Ive lost my notes with them in so i'll edit this later when i do find it. I'll jot it here now so i don't forget to make the post.
1) beginning
2) change of plans
3) complications
4) increasing the stakes
5) final push
6) resolution
----------------------------------------------------
1)I was at home
2) And i decided to go into town for coffee
3) When a homeless lady stopped me for change
3) I only had a tenner on me
4) So i looked for a shop to give me change but everywhere said i had to buy something first in these expensive shops
5) So i took her for coffee and had a nice chat.
*see, follow those steps and you CANT NOT come up with a decent story.
Also stories are best said as an off-hand, non impressive story, something either trivial or a bit odd but still very down to earth because;
A) It comes across as normal (you dont tell a girl you just met about meeting Geroge Clooney and having to arm wrestle him for a job)
B) It keeps you away from the Entertainer frame.
C) Not try-hard and still does the only job its supposed to do, keep you away from Questions Of death and keep it low pressure on the girl whilst having fun/giving value.
-------------------------------------------------
Im very new to this, but this is my view on storytelling, maybe im wrong because i have a hard time balancing/understanding the differences between being a cool guy with awesome stories (Versus the entertainer/clown but i dont know this, i just get the feeling i am) and being the guy who tries to be the qualifier/judge(Versus being boring, friendly listener who'll listen to you because im such a nice nice nice guy!!!!).
hard balance and i dont think i understand it or do it at all, so feedback on this post would be great!
Now lets make that into a story
