I was just reading Roz's post on #-closing waitresses and this came back to mind.

This attempt would be ok if I was an AFC,but I was heavily entrenched in the community.

Over a year ago,I went to a sports bar with a buddy.

I seen a hot waitress(HB9.5)but I said to myself,"let me try something different and hope for the best".

So I eyed her all night-didnt really get EC(eye contact).

After a while,without even chatting her up,I asked my buddy for a pen and piece of paper.

Wrote my name & # and told my friend(a natural)to slide it to her covertly(lol).

He does after waiting for her to pass near a the night wined down.

She looks at the note/paper and asks my buddy,"what is this"?

He told her my friend wanted to give you his #.

She looks at me,I wink(thinking it's all good-Im in).

She crumbles the paper and said to me,"no thank you,I dont want it".

I mean,as a waitress,I'd figure she would be polite about it,as to boost sales.

But this waitress wasnt having it.

I knew it was a bullshit #-close attempt so I never expected positive results;just a polite rejection.

It was embarrassing as hell eventhough I expected to get rejected with such a bullshit routine.

I think I got that idea from Don Juanish -type movies where some Mafioso in a bar gets someone to run a # over to the HB.

What really crucified me was that I didnt even get an EC from her nor a chat.

Different if we'd eye flirted all night and I'd bantered with her during the night.

I personally dont pick up waitresses(hired guns)but on rare occasiaons.

Man, is this what goes on at other sports bars!? You should come to mine... we give out polite rejections like we give out beer.

They're usually polite on rejections at that specific sports bar(as far as I observed over the years)but that time,I guess she had a real-bad night and couldnt keep composed.

Thanks Roz,I agree totally on your post about gaming waitresses-best option's to try see them out of the work place.

I dont understand why men on this forum dont get that.

You see her,you like her,do your homework and link it when she's in-field on her off night.

Why game a waitress at her work,get her #,to then have her forget who you are since she's had quite a # of approaches.

Why not eliminate all the BS and settle for her out of the work enviornment where you can actually game her and isolate and escalate-which you cannot do at her work place.

Some guys seem to just want to prove a point-"I # closed a bartender(hired-gun)".
