So this is a new routine that i just came up with for C-1, or any time that the question pops up i guess. I encountered with the "do you believe in true love" question a while back and just responded with a simple answer. So i came up with a DHV story to slip in instead:

Do i believe in true love? Have you ever heard the story behind the Taj Mahal? Well the the Indian prince of the day, Shah Jahan, fell madly in love with the princess Mamtaz Mahal at the ripe age of 14. They were inseparable, in the palace, the county, and even war, for Shah believed that she was his good luck charm. However, during the birth of their fourteenth child (is that not love enough??) she died. Shah had the whole nation mourn for 2 solid years, and never leaving the palace. After he re-gathered his tattered heart, he went on to build the Taj Mahal over the next 20 years, with over 20,000 workers going round the clock, with the Shah going to the work site ever day to mourn. Now tell me, do YOU believe in true love?

I took some small liberties with the details, but this shows some good DHV with the historical knowledge. It has a bunch of emotional spikes to stimulate her. It also allows you to completely skate on answering the question with your own beliefs, one way or the other. Now i have not tested this one out yet in the field so results may very at this point. What do you think

i like it...it just makes you seem like more of an interesting and knowledgable person. One thing I learned about pick up is girls love it when a guy can teach them something...in a way this gives a little history lesson to the girl, and the same time letting you 'skate on your own beliefs' lol, like you said, and also you will be answering the question in a COMPLETELY UNIQUE way (gotta give you props for that :]) which just distinguishes you in a good way.
