Hey, Harem here.
I've been using my own variation of the mystery method for a while now and it's working well. The only thing is i want to feel like i have tools from every area of the game.
I know NLP is a bit old school but i was wondering if there was anybody out there willing to teach me a few tricks of the trade, routines ect to message me. I'd be more than happy to fill in any gaps you guys have but feel i need to learn this area as i heard it can do wonders.
Look foward to your replies,
Harem x
Hi, I'm only replying to this because I saw your horrible mood ring routine and I figured that you really need help!
First of all, NLP is not old school, NLP is a revolutionary branch of psychology, it's the "New technology of achievement" as Steve Andreas put it.
Instead of pulling made up lies as DHV, you use NLP to create an instant strong connection with the person you are talking to, you will learn to build rapport faster then you could ever imagine!
The truth is, you use forms of NLP everyday, you are just not aware of it, see it works like this.
1. unconscious incompetence - You are not aware of of the skill and you don't know how to do it.
2. conscious incompetence - You are aware that you don't know the skill, you know what you need to work on, but you do not know the skill yet!
3. conscious competence - You are aware of the skill, you are working on it all the time trying to get better.
4. unconscious competence - You have become so good that you are an expert and you apply the skill all the time without even thinking about it.
(Credit to Professor Albert Bandura)
And another thing you have to learn, this is very important.
NLP is very advanced and very effective, it is a skill and it is psychology. And much like other skills and parts of psychology you can't learn it from a few simple pointers. I hear guys of the forum teaching each other about anchoring (which is part of NLP) but without the concept as a whole, it is meaningless.
You have to study it like you were studying a subject in college.
Buy a NLP book that is NOT written by a pick up artist, start reading it, do all the exercises and do not apply it to pick up until you have the basics down!
You can reach conscious competence within a month or two depending on how efficient you study.
I recommend Steve Andreas - "NLP, The new technology of achievement" as a good starter book, since its material is a collection of many other good NLP books.
Buy the hard copy (paperback only about $10 on amazon) since there are exercises you need to do and for many of them you need to be relaxed and you are not relaxed if you sit in front of your computer.
In my oppinion, the world would be a better place if everyone knew NLP, when you start studying it, you will understand why!
