How do you all feel about joke negs? I'm not sure if they really qualify as negs but it seems to work pretty well for me.

TBH I don't do it on purpose. It just sort of happens naturally when I'm around a girl I'm mildly interested in, particularly if I'm comfortable because I'm trying to date a different girl (One-itis hits me pretty hard).

Okay so what do I mean by joke neg?

One girl I knew loaned a hat to another girl, "Careful Ana, Ashley probably has lice!"

Now obviously she doesn't have lice, and I said it in a way that it was obvious I was just kidding.

So I guess my question is, does this count as a neg? Because to be honest, negging is one thing I've never felt comfortable with. I can never think of anything that's worthwhile. But this joke-negging thing is something I'm very good at, (frequently get the grinning: "You're so mean to me!" comment) so if you think that's a good way to go, I'm going to try and incorporate it into my game.

What your doing is exactly what you should do!
Keep teasing them. Dont be rude. (unless they deservere it).

Even if girl laughs at your "joke" she will start feeling slightly insecure.
But beware, negs are very powerful tool. I've made girls cry by being to hard on them. (even though I sometimes end up making out with them after apologizing... )

The perfect phrase for what you are doing is "cocky and funny" so yeah maybe in the future just refer to it as c&f everyone will know what you mean. I kinda like "joke neg" though.

Dude it's great you are having fun with this stuff because some desperate guys take it so seriously. The community needs more people like you.

I would rather call this teasing, and yeah it spices up the conversation and prevents it in most cases from staling out:)
