So Idk if you guys have watched it, but there is this show called mind control on the sci fi channel. its this guy who is NOT psychic or anything (finally someone telling the truth!), but rather uses combination of hypnosis, suggestions, subliminal msgs and other stuff to manipulate or read people.

Anyways back to the point, in one of the episodes he showed this trick to a few people where he asked a person to be thinking of any one of his/her fingers (out of both hands) and show host immediately guessed correctly which one it was. The way they did it is that he was connecting his fingers with that other person, and that person is focused on one of their fingers with out looking at it. Well anyways after seeing this I thought to my self this would be a great routine IF MASTERED because you could make the HB think there was a connection there and alsoa routine to build kino (since your touching that person and have to keep constant EC).

Ive been practicing for for a while now and have somewhat gotten the hang of it. Apparently the real trick is that when the person thinks really hard and solely on that finger sometimes a very small muscle contraction will occur in a split second without that person knowing. also for the people that you try it on for the 1st few times, they give away the hand it is at by their eye movement (while the eyes don't look directly at the finger or hand, sometimes the eyes will twitch a lil toward that direction). But you gotta be very sensible and perceptive of this things because they happen quick and also because you might get confused by the blood pulse of that persons fingers. Of course like I said I'm still trying to get the hang of it, but as of now I am able to guess the finger 3/5 times (give or take) and 4/5 on which hand it was . Still i got long ways to go so I won't be using this anytime soon.

Anyways I just thought I'd post this to see if anyone is interested in watching the show and maybe trying it out. Or if anyone has already mastered this and would care to leave a tip or two

I mean you touching your fingers with the other persons. sorry if its a bit hard to understand, but English is not my 1st language.

Ill try to see if I can find a clip on it on youtube or something, but in the meantime here is one that seems interesting also. I've read in the past that a lot of professional pua actually uses this type of techniques for attraction.

You've found one person that is absolutely fascinated by his work right here!

Anyway, from my understanding most of Darran Brown's work involves psychological trickery, mentalism (a branch of magic that focuses on the illusion that you're a psychic), and some elements of stage magic.

I've never heard of these contractions you speak of, nor have I heard of him actually reading a persons "blood pulse". But there is a certain power to suggestion that can be used in mentalist routines, powers of probability, reading body language, LEM, etc., it can be quite effective, You'll never have total control over someones mind or be able to read their thoughts, definitely know their emotions, etc. though.

I have a few books that attempt to explain some of his work (which weren't written by him, don't have much crediability, but do explain techniques that seem to produce the same or similar result (ie; being able to know someones PIN #, knowing what playing card someone is going to pick, etc.), and most of it is trickory. Stuff you probably wouldn't find all that different from magic tricks.

That is not to say, however, that the results can't be amazing. They can! Mentalism is a very, very powerful branch of magic. I think some tricks can be turned into wonderful routines. If you'd like, I can point you in the right direction in getting started with mentalism. It's quite a bit of fun, but takes practice.

yeah i'd def be interested in that bro. I'm fascinated with the psychology of the brain, and this mentalism as you call it.

Well I know I said I still wasn't going to use this routine yet cause I hadn't mastered completely yet, BUT yesterday was a huge tailgate party at my University with TONS of HB's... and I did drink a little so my judgment was not at its bests. Anyways overall out of the 6 girls that I did it to I successfully got it with 4 of them. They were hooked, it seriously blew their minds asking me how I did it and wanting to do it again and such. I of course played it cocky and told them I charged for seconds. I also did the penny, nickel, dime routine mech posted, to bullshit them thinking that this was a sort of explication for the finger routine (even though they are nothing alike). By the end of each of this 4 sarges, the HBs were begging me for my number, and out of them I took one home

Anyways on the 2 that it didn't work on, one of them was an attempt at a last minute save because my friend i tried to have as a wing was killing it with that HB. But overall I think it went good, I still can't believe I was able to pull it off that well considering I was a bit under the influence.
