Hey so I saw an article by style in Maxim magazine a few months back, about the Magician and how there is a certain mystery created by one and an aura. Subsequently, I have started to use magic for some routines. not always to DHV, but maybe pass a few minutes.
I often use tricks that involve telekinesis as these usually get the best reaction and create the best aura. My favourite one is called the "Balducci Effect", it was made popular by guys like Criss Angel and David Blane. Its the one where he levitates, its real easy to do and it usually gets a good reaction if delivered properly, so easy you may not believe it.
Its gonna sound real easy, but you need to set it up PERFECTLY or it won't work.
All you do is stand up on the tip toe of the foot away from the audience.

What you need to ensure is that it is a group of maybe 6 or less. They MUST be at around a 45 degree angle behind you, what you do is slowly edge up. When you come down, don't ask for validation, just ask how high you went or whatnot. It wows the crowd.
Perfect it for some friends first. Let me know what your successes are like or if you have any questions on how to do it.

Speaking of telekinesis tricks, I read/saw a video of Mystery making a straw jump out of a glass. Anyone know how he does it?

This levitation and similar ones (like King's Rising) are VERY angle sensitive. If one person is not at that perfect angle, the whole thing is blown. I would do this trick for a small group of people like maybe if you're on the street and it's not too crowded. The only way I would use this levitation in a club or a bar is if I am near a wall/corner or it is not crowded. It is a great illusion to do if the settings and angles are right.

You can do this using magic loops. With them, you can do a lot of cool effects, mostly moving objects. Another cool one with loops is waving your hands above a fork and making it shoot across the table without directly touching it. 8)

How do you do that trick where you shoot the fork across the table without touching it?

Have you ever seen or used magic loops before?
It would be easy to explain if you have messed around with them in the past or know the idea behind them.
