| okay im going to try and make this quick. so if i leave out information, bare with me.
i used to live a considerable distance from my hometown, but id come home once every few months or so to see friends and family. one of my friends introduced me to her roommate, the orginal intention was to set us up, but with me being away so much, and travelling so much, it kinda got put to the way side. i recently moved much closer to home, i wouldnt say im around the corner, but i could be in my home town in a matter of hours if need be.
i just saw my friend this weekend, and we hung out with the girl that she once tried to hook me up with. nothing awkward, just a good time and some fun people to hang out with. but i realized, there were a few pretty obviouse IOI's (lots of direct eye contact, resting hand on my leg, that sort of thing...). so in any other situation this would warrent a move, but there are several barriers however.
first, my friend is somewhat of an emotional crisis, and im a little worried that if i started dating it would look like i wasnt there for her but only to date her roommate, but im sure this can be past by having a conversation with my friend.
the second, and the one i dont know how to get around, is the fact that i havent seemed to move my self in her eyes from 'roommates friend' to 'my friend.' i just dont think she sees me as an available option.
and last but not least, shes incridably shy when it comes to making any sort of move, even if they are in reciprocation. and the last thing i want to do is move to fast and make her feel awkward or make myself out to be a creep.
thoughts?
-kris.
