Oh man, I love that turtle opener. I am so stealing that.

I don't really stick to canned material since once I have opened the set I find it is much easier and displays more congruence to change the interaction and the conversation in-set. But the hug test is definitely a good one to trigger an instant date, although I would definitely only use this on a set that seems eager enough. Often the problem with canned material is that people will head in planning to use a certain play, but the set they open actually needs more time in A1 or A2 in order for the material they want to use to become effective. That's why I only really remember select good ones that I can use when the conversation dips or when I need to cut a thread.

But I will definitely be using this one, good job.

Interesting routine. Sounds like its pretty effective.

Its sounds really similar to Dave DeAngelos "handshake" routine that i've been doing for a while (Killer success!!!) However, instead of the handshake, your routine uses a hug (much more powerful Kino-wise than a handshake).

You can even mix the two if you want...If you run out of something to say, throw in a FTC and say you have to leave, stick out hand for handshake and then neg them on their handshake, to restart the convo - Just a thought!
