Ok, so im new to this pua stuff and i tried out some of the techniques for the first time yesterday and i didnt do the greatest job but not too bad. I was out at the bar with my roommate who unfortunately isnt the most social person, well groomed/dressed, and has a hard time talking with people. My first question is does it lower your status if your out with a not so alpha male friend or does it not really have an impact?

So we sit down and this gorgeous girl who i have never seen before at this bar serves us and i think to myself this is the perfect time to give this stuff a try. so we get our drinks and i just gave her a little smile and said thanks but i didnt carry on the conversation at that point. The bar is pretty empty at this point cause its only like 5pm so i figured id have plenty of time to talk with her later. Should i have initiated a conversation right after she served us to prove to her that im not afraid to talk with her, or does ignoring her for 5 min or so show that im not every other guy oggoling her.

Anyway about 5 mins go by and i stop her and say
ME: So why arent you wearing any cubs gear
HB: what?
ME: Your rooting for the cubs right, why arent you wearing at least a shirt or a hat.
(I had on a cubs jersey and it was a big game for them and some of the other bartenders and patrons had stuff on)
HB: I dont really like the cubs
ME: why not?
HB: you want the truth or you want me to be a good bartender?
ME: I dont like fake people so be real with me
She tells me how shes hardcore Italian from new york likes the yankees, so on
ME: Do you know a good spaghetti and meatball recipe?
HB: Ya mine
ME: Aw man i love Italian food i really need to find a nice italian girl so i can get her recipes and cook them
HB: Well your sitting at the right place at the bar

Now i know shes a hired gun, but was that an ioi or just a quick response
We talk a bit more then she goes and helps other people

I watch the game talk with my friend a bit she keeps standing in front of us and occasionally talking with other bartenders as she helps other people at the bar too. so it was kind of her area at the bar so im not sure if she was like making sure that i saw her body or something

I pull her aside again a bit later
ME: so you know its your fault that the cubs are loosing
HB: blah blah
ME: so whats your name
She kind of pauses and is says well i dont typically like to give out my name to people cause of bad experiences ive had when i first started working here people always call me over and say nice ass and your hot and stuff

At this point i kinda started to panic and was like shit she doesnt like me and i like ya ok i understand no problem and she walks away again

I went over it in my head for the next few minutes thinking that was stupid i should have neged her or something and came up with, "oh ya people really tell you you have a nice ass" or "well if your not going to tell me your name im just going to call you ulga or something"

I again stopped her a bit later and asked her why shes in Indiana(where i go to school) and she tells me about how her parents moved and why and i asked what shes doing here she says going to school. alittle more small talk

after that it started to pick up and later my friend came and she knew him from one of her classes and she said with a smile on her face "oh great now your going to find out my name" I tried to play it off like i didnt care about it anymore or whatever, im not really sure how i responded to that.

Later in the night she came by me without me flagging her down and said now i am rooting for the cubs cause my boss said hes going to be pissed if they loose. So would that be an ioi that she initiated the conversation?

That was pretty much it for the night, for the rest of the night i was up a bit talking with other girls at the bar, trying to show her that im sociable and likable and at the end i gave her a quick wave goodbye and a smile.

So what do you guys think, i know i wasnt great but do you think she didnt want to give me her name of if she was real and how should i start talking with her if i see her again. I was thinking of starting with the ugla line or something along those lines just to show her i dont really care what her name is anymore and im negging her at the same time. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks
