How about just asking plainly for hanging out?
Like "Hey, you know what, you seem pretty cool, we should go for a cofee/beer/hang out someday... Let me get your # and I'll give you a call some time" and hand them a piece of paper + pen if you can't hand them your phone over (Why can't you?).
