This is good because it eliminates the anxiety you might have if you lean in while she is watching. This way it makes you look like you have balls, it's a witty way of closing it, and it should surprise her...
My question to YOU, is a way you could smoothly carry on the conversation if she reacts negatively.

Why not just man up and go cavemen instead of telling her to close her eyes, I used to do that when I was younger but now Ive noticed instant kisses are more of a turn on for the women
