How do I instigate a one night stand/ open relationship?

A girl at college has been giving me really strong IOIs/her friends have told me that she likes me. She doesn't seem like the kind of girl who sleeps around, but I'm really not looking for a committed relationship. How can I instigate a one night stand, or alternatively- ask her out and evoke an open relationship?

You might want to google Johnny Soprano and seductive reasoning.

I haven't seen him mentioned at all here, but he's got an interesting theory about maintaining open relationships that seems, on the face, to be pretty strong.
