If she says you're friends, then you didn't escalate fast enough during the initial stages of the pick up. If she says "It's going too fast" then you simply say "I understand" and freeze her out for 10 minutes. Go and check your emails, put on the TV, make a sandwich. Don't be rude to her, just take a step back, be polite but don't do anything sexual towards her, then after 10 minutes, try again. If the same happens, do another freeze out.
