Found out she was studying abroad next semester and leaving soon (6th, tentatively), but we hung out and had a good time anyway. Asked if she wanted to hang again before she left and she expressed immediate interest but then started thinking her schedule out loud-- which i stopped,
"just let me know later when you're free."
"ok. thanks for the <drinks>, I had a GREAT time." Beaming smile. Hug and kiss on the cheek as she left the car.
In retrospect I definitely screwed the pooch when I bounced the ball back in her court on scheduling a day 2, but i mean at the time i felt like listening to her brainstorm would've been pretty unalpha of me. So...how do I go about a Day 2 without seeming desperate (even though I am feelin her really bad right now), and with New Years comin up, should I try to set something up for that? I mean I still dont know what I'm doing for new years, turned down an invitation to a club, considering a house party, but basically I have no solid plan to pitch. This sucks cause I know I'm competing with at least one other dude for New Year slot. Also, with her leaving in short order, how are my chances for a hookup of any type?
She's kind of a keeper, so if I can plant any seeds for anything longer term to resume when she comes back, I'd sacrifice short term base-rounding for a likely future return on investment.
