So story goes HB9, got her number. now the problem is what to say in the first text.

There are many schools of thought on this.

Personally I believe it makes sense to establish a reconnection pretty soon after you leave her. Nothing needy. Just something short and fun, maybe a continuation of an in joke.

If you leave it too long and try and 'play it cool' you run the risk of her forgetting how funny/interesting you were when you first met.

whats considered to long?
i was thinking something like "hey trouble, how was the rest of your night?" or should i go straight into setting something up like "hey i could use some help with some christmas shopping from someone who's got a good sense of style, you know anyone available this weekend?[/list]

Too long is about 4-5 days. When you text the girl you want her to remember you. You don't want to have to refresh her memory.

First text can be something as simple as "Hey how was the rest of your night?" or "Hey whats up?" even " whats cooking good lookin?" Or like FarmboyUK said you can send her a joke.

Then for the next few text try to make her feel comfortable. Be funny, be cocky and mostly be confident.

Then you can invite her to do something. I never tell the girl what I have planed. that way I build intrigue. I make the girl want to come out and see what I have in store.
I'll say something along the lines of "I got a great idea we should try out" or "I thought of something fun for us to do" and so on...

On a side note I would not get her out to go shopping. Its not a bad spot but its got new social value and its boring. Plus its a girl she probably spends half her time in malls.

well i messaged her and she replied with "dan, why'd you get a new cell again" so she has no idea who the hell i am, so i dont know if i should reply or just delete this number

thats the type if crap i get 1/2 the time "who is this?" etc

while i kind of suck at phone game SPAM, it always seems to be a good idea to say something in the first text that would remind her of just you or something you guys did or spoke about, whether its a joke or not... "get a cabby with a local accent this time round?"
