I have this class with this girl talked to her at least about 5 times. She's told me recently that she's thinking about dropping the class bcuz she's not doing that well in it.(The drop date has now passed) I have her # bcuz we exchanged them cuz we talked about going to the concerts together in the class that are mandatory.

I haven't text her or called her yet cuz she said she was gonna call me about the concert dates.

Should I text her now and be like "Hey did u end up dropping the class" or wait till the next time I go to the class and if she doesn't show up text saying "So I'm guessing u dropped the class"

Either way how do I set up a date with her, bcuz I've been buiding some comfort with this girl

Looks like you're overthinking this. It doesn't really matter which one you text, and as for the date I'd suggest asking her to go for a drink. Then take it from there.

I personally find it a counter productive to ask a girl on a date via a text.

Yeah. Call her instead of texting. Wait until class first. You might look stupid if she ended up not dropping it, and you call her out for it.
