So, i wrote earlier about the new girl at work. Invited her to play volleyball with us the first week she was there. She came we all had a good time. I tell her that we should go out sometime without all the other people around. She tells me that she doesn't want to date anybody from work because she doesn't want drama. I think this was a line of crap but I decided to keep trying. I layed low for a while Just flirting with her a lot trying to build more attraction before i give it another go. Every week at volleyball i'm getting tons of IOIs She keeps kicking sand on me and stuff like that wanting attention which i take as a great sign. She texted me the other day asking if i had any power tools because she wants to build her dad a bean bag toss game for fathers day. (she knows that i do a lot of woodworking) I tell her that the next day we will go to my dads shop and build it. We do that spend like an hour or two on it and get it done ( I teach her how to sand and use the nail gun. ) two days later I was thinking this bean bag toss game needs a handle so he can carry it easier. So I go pick one up give her a call telling her that i have a suprise for her I will be at her house in a minute. I show up, she thinks its a great idea. I start putting it on and my drill dies. Her roommate was all like "well it's the thought that counts (which makes me think that she's been talking about me) I leave and head to work. At work we chat a little bit I tell her that I will come over tomorrow to put on the handle she says she will be out of class at 12:30 so I suggest lunch too. she says sure. Now here's the thing, If I buy her lunch I may look like an AFC, if I don't I may look like a douchebag who has given up. What should i do? Also any other advice would be appreciated.

Your only limits are ones you impose on yourself

qualify her more over lunch, and be sure to keep the frame of reference on you. be in control of the conversation, not necessarily feeding her the attention you mentioned she craves, but making her see that you are a prize to be won, and she has to use a combination of words and body language to win you. use your body language as your weapon here, never getting too involved in the conversation. A leaned back, comfortable look will be effective for you.
