Okay, so I've met this girl a couple of times now but only ever in group situations. We were at a little get together thing last night, and for the first 3/4 she would be sitting on my knee a lot and laying on my lap etc, but by the end of the night it seemed that she was deliberately sitting away from me. Not sure if I didn't escalate fast enough or if I came off too strong.. I really have no idea. Anyway, we're having another with the same group of people in a couple of days.. how should I act around her? Do I try and escalate quickly from where we left off or give her space? There is another girl in the group who I am pretty sure is interested in me, a lot of IOI's, but I'm not really that into her.. should I perhaps give her more attention?

I probably should point out that last night was somewhat drug fueled, so that could have played a part in how her actions toward me changed, though this next one probably won't be so much.
