Okay so I opened a HB8 in a club after recognising her from a fancy dress party the previous week. I didn't open her that time, AFC! So I had ground to catch up on.

It went well and I was gaming her and her friend pretty hard. Social proof was great as I leaned against the bar with them talking to me. Other HB's I had opened on the dancefloor earlier definitely noticed, and I was kino'ing the HB8 - playing a handshake game. I ejected and said I should go back to join my friends instead of ignoring them, who were with another set we knew. (With the intention of meeting HB8 on the dancefloor later for a close.) Again I got good social proof as I rejoined my friends who were entertaining other HBs.

I didn't see her again later but did have her facebook. Been gaming her on facebook and definitely not coming across too needy. We got onto common interests and it seemed like we might be going to the same gig. I get the impression she isn't going anymore so that natural day 2 doesn't look like it will materialise. Getting very positive/lengthy replies from her.

We are both quite stand off ish - and I'm hesitant to setup a 'day 2' as I feel I didn't build enough comfort or close on the first occasion. I would like to see her again, whats my play? There is a chance I'll bump into her sooner or later but not guaranteed.

In terms of potential day 2s it would have to be high energy and not just a coffee chat. I think we're both competitive so maybe challenge her to something. E.g Bowling or a scary movie. Both a little cliche and again I'm hesitant if a day2 is right move.

I know if I just keep a correspondence through facebook I'll just become a buddy there and LJBF'd. So my other option is to freeze her out and move on. Leaving it to the possibility of bumping into her.

Thanks!

Yeah, I'd definately go for a Day 2!

Send her a private message on facebook saying that you're going to have a drink that evening/ the next day/ whatever. If she wants to have some fun, be there at 10pm for example.

Just a suggestion. You could bring some friends if you're afraid of running out of things to do. You'll isolate her from your friends, but if worse comes to worse, you can always rejoin your friends with her. Also, it's social proof because you're always surrounded by friends, and it looks like you're not needy, because you would have went with your friends and have fun anyway, if she would be there or not.

I am in a similar situation, and have developed good comfort with the target. However my main issue is that I’m booked out this upcoming weekend, and won’t be able to ask her to meet up. Would you guys go for a midweek day 2 or the following weekend?

Midweek may be hard as it could have the potential to spook her if it is worded wrong.
