I didn't really know where to put this post but it has to do with closing so i thought it would fit here

Im a softmore in college and a friend from home who is a freshman goes to my school. for the last to weeks hes been talking about this girl hes been trying to get with he said they made out i dont know how much i believe that. He kind of messed up for him self by talking about me telling her about how we know each other and im fun to hang out with making me look like the Alpha Male.

So he introduced me to her (shes a HB 8.5 maybe even a 9) and at first i was like ok this is his girl dont spit game at her. But 2 nights ago i was at a party and my friend happen to be driving people around all night so it was just me and her. i guess i came off cocky funny to her now she keeps saying im her favorite person in the world some bullshit like that. that night we danced and she was giving me a lapdance and i could tell she was pushing for a k-close but i couldn't bring my self to do it.

We hung out again the next night my friend passed out drunk and i was once again with her but we were with alot of people now but i was still getting strong IOI's from her and tonight all 3 of us were together and she was all over me. I kept sitting next to me instead of my friend and she would sit on my lap i didn't even ask her to. I was even trying to push her twords him but she would come back to me. Heres were im really stuck this normally wouldn't be much of problem with me i would kind of blow her off because of my friend but the 2 nights he wasn't there we talked alot and i kind of like her alot now and i don't want to tell him that cause i know he does to. I just feel like i have a better shot then he does and hes not making any progress but he found her first and tried first so i feel bad. Can anyone give me some advice like should i stop trying, should i talk to him, or should i just hook up with her.

Sounds to me like you are subconsciously gaming her. You say you push her away and all that when you actually want her to sit with your friend, but that is GAME, pushing her away and she wants more of you. You're gaming her when you're trying to do the opposite.. If you really don't want this girl then tell her, and avoid the awkwardness between you and your friend. But if this is more of an acquaintance than a great friend then hook up with her, it just depends on how much you value the friendship.

Talk with your friend. He is your friend, right? So you should be able to have a conversation to find out what this girl really means to him and to tell him what she means to you. Work it out.
