A bit of backstory here, but I'll try to keep it short:

I had a class with this girl two years ago in college and we hung out a few times as a result. We were really into each other but she was interested in a relationship at a time where I really wasn't so things never worked out. I got her number again awhile ago and I've been trying to call but she doesn't answer, so I left her this wall post on facebook:

Hey Hollywood,
Just figured I'd drop a line here because your phone doesn't seem to be working. Didn't your mom teach you that it's polite to at least call back?

Worked pretty well, got a response rather quickly, she asked what my schedule was for the week, so I said "What, tell you my whole schedule and let you stalk me? I work 9:00 to 1:30 on Friday, you should come in for a drink."

She says, "Well, I work from 8:30-5 on Friday so..."

At this point I'm stuck. Where should I go from here? I think that telling her a different day that I'm working might come off as desperate, is that an incorrect assumption? Should I neg her again for being too "Hollywood"? OR (my thought) should I tell her a day I'm NOT working so we can actually sit down and talk?

If you read all 10,000 or so words of this and feel like you can help, that'd be awesome.

Mistake #1: Calling her multiple times. This communicates neediness. Call her a girl once, leave a message. If you don't hear back, try 'one' more time then let it be, don't chase her.

Mistake #2: Leaving a message on facebook letting her know that you have been trying to reach her, more neediness. You tried to be C&F, but the under lying message is still the same.

Mistake #3: Telling her your exact work schedule. Now she has ammunition to blow you off by coming up with the 'conflicting schedule' routine as an excuse. Next time say something like, 'i have to double-check my schedule, they keep changing it, I'll let you know'.

and finally, the biggest mistake is not building up any attraction with her before trying to invite her out. Just because a girl was into you in the past, it doesn't mean she still is. You should have tried working on her IL first.

Try getting a little friendly banter going with her, see if she starts to respond. If she doesn't, move on. Good luck bro...
