I negged, qualified built comfort and escalated over the course of the next few days, keeping the "fangirl nickname and frame.with her usually sending two texts for every one of mine. yesterday (tuesday and her actual birthday)
(me) "I'll call in 10 mins (you get to hear my voice!!!)
(her) "I'm at dinner, you should call me a bit later, cause I'd really like to hear it haha"
(me) what time?
(her) around 9ish or 10ish, but only if you'd like haha.

I called her around 11, she didn't pickup called again at 12, she picked up we talked for about 5 minutes, she seemed really excited. we decided that I'd drive over to her (1 hr drive) on thursday (tomorrow).

today I sent
"Hey fangirl, what are you up to? besides doodling hearts in a notebook and thinking about me.
2 hrs later she responds
"haha that's exactly what I'm doing how'd you know"
" I read minds, text me your address" (no response)
4 hours later I send "congratulations!!!" (after her response I was going to say "I just thought about you." but she didn't respond)

( a couple hours go by) and I text "hey fangirl, I'm going to call around 10 (you get to hear my voice again)"
I called at 10 then at 11 got voicemail both times.




don't know what to do. I'm leaving the country on friday, and I want to get laid before I go and she was the only realistic prospect until I get back.

Stop fucking texting... Good god. You are also trying way too hard! Did you really call her fangirl in every other text? Then say "you get to hear my voice again"? Ughhhh...

Text wars on the first night you met her are acceptable, but ONLY because you are obviously doing other shit. Even so, if she's not going to try meet up with you just cut it off and tell her you will call her the next day. Then call her and set up the godamn date then! Don't text war the whole week!

You didn't neg, qualify, or build comfort over text, no matter how much you believe you did. You know why? You can't! Those things are based on body language and tone. Text is for logistics ONLY at this stage.

Call her the day after you meet, set a date to meet, text her that day that you are running 10 minutes late (confirms date and gives her a chance to flake). Get her again on the date.

- after you texted her for you address and she doesn't respond, texting again then calling her twice is needy as hell. NEVER text twice, if she wants to respond she will.
