Ok, I # closed an HB 8 after conversing for an hour (afraid of lapse and her bailing) so I told her I had to go back and study and asked for her number. She gave me it, but was irritated that I would have to go study at 1AM (I actually needed to but it was an excuse to leave, felt like right time to get out and i'm new just wanted # for first time). She REALLY wanted me to stay.

---She said about 5 times that night she was NOT in a relationship.

So I called her two days later, and she says she is studying for finals when she picks up. Her voice tone was different, she seemed to be in not a real interested tone, just like she was talking to some stranger. Conversed about 5 minutes, then she says I have go back to studying, I'll call you back sometime. I ask if I should call back and she said no.

OK, kind of legit, she's either brushing me off and won't call back or she is trying to one up me.

----later I find out she added the friend I was with that night (she's not interested in him) on facebook. Turns out she IS in a relationship even though she was at the club telling people she wasn't.

---My Question: why? It doesn't add up. Either she is playing me or she is not satisfied with the relationship and is searching --- she is risking me emailing her boyfriend and telling him she is messing around.

I mean I really got the feeling she wasn't intersted on the phone and that she won't call me back and she is a player. I don't know man.

-Do girls actually call back when they end the first phone conversation by saying they will? Or is it a ditch ploy?

Alright, bro, here's the deal. She was having a good time, at the time that you were hanging out, no, she didn't want you to leave. You called her, appropriate. She said she'd call you back, appropriate. You asked if you should call back, inappropriate. She already said that she'd call you, if she doesn't, she's missing out, not you. There's a saying in sales, "Once you've sold, stop selling." By asking if you should call her again, you sound needy, I know that you were being polite, but it comes across as needy. Do not even entertain the thought of calling her again, she said she would, if she doesn't... oh well.

There could be a million reasons that she isn't interested any more. On the other hand, maybe she was just busy studying. For the whole bf thing, how do you know that she has a bf? Facebook? Completely unreliable. Chicks are notorious for putting up the "In A Relationship" thing as an online bitch shield.

Maybe there was a flaw in the attraction building stage of your interaction. Take a step back and reevaluate the interaction. Critique your performance. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT beat yourself up!

Why doesn't it all add up? Because she's a woman. For the most part, they think with their emotional mind, not their logical mind... like we do. She can rationalize her not wanting to have any further interaction with you in dozens of different ways.

Don't stress about it, there's a gazillion women out there that are waiting to be swept off of their feet. Get out there and let this one go.

Reevaluate and calibrate.
