First Date Close?

Looking for some advice on first dates, in the case where you're NOT looking to get into an LTR, but rather to keep it casual and, ultimately, physical. Is it advised to try and close on a first date? If so how? Especially when the date is in a public (and not-at-all-sexual) place like a minigolf or a shopping mall. If closing isn't recommended, how can one ensure a close in the future?

To close on a first date don't go to the minimall or the golf range. If you're going somewhere public, make it a lounge or a coffee shop where you can kino escalate and say 'let's get out of here i know a cool spot'.
