Here's the story...met this girl through some friends and got her number (learned she thought I was "cute" so N-close was fairly easy). Went on a date with her, nothing serious, just got some casual coffee one night. I didn't feel like we had a great spark or any sexual tension, so I didn't kiss her on the first date, basically pussed out, which is a huge sticking point that i'm working on! Since then we have hung out in a group setting, and I've been mixing in flirty with disinterest and talking about hanging out with other girls to keep her interested.

Here's where I could use some help though...throughout this entire time she has been acting completely indifferent to me as if she could care less whether or not we hang out. It's like she could go on a date with me or go to the grocery store, they would both be as exciting. Which is one of the reasons why I didn't feel like there was a spark to kiss her. I've dealt with girls before that will play hard to get, but it's difficult to balance showing interest and coming off too needy.

I was wondering how you guys would play out this sort of situation? Anyone deal with girls who will play it "too cool for school"? What did you do?

I don't talk to her that often via text or on the phone. Only if I'm setting up a date, and I'm thinking my next move will be a movie or something at my place just so it's clear what's about to happen.

I actuallly ran into this problem a while back. Its not the easiest one to solve. I had a girl that would text me all the time but the moment I showed interest in her she'd go cold. How'd i work it out? Simple I reversed our roles. When she'd text me id take my time texting her back. If shed text me something along the lines of "k" or "lol" where she wasnt contributing to the conversation I wouldnt text backi. If she wanted to do something id say I couldnt that day but how bout we do this instead tommorow. And the biggest thing, I let her know she wasnt my main priority. if we went out to the bar id leave her at the table to go talk to people or id call people over. little things like that work very very well. Hmm yeah I'll definitely try to play more aloof and not give the time of day unless she starts showing more interest...this game ought to be fun to play out. Two people acting like they give zero shits about hanging out with each other haha
