Hey guys, new here...hope this is the right place to post this....anyway...on to the goods.

So I met this girl at a local club...played my cards right...passed the shit tests and all that good stuff and she asked if I wanted to chill sometime. Told her I was pretty busy this weekend and we'd have to set someone up later...#closed and ran into her a few more times that night. (It was my best friends B-day...had my priorities straight for once and pretty much committed the night to him...no homo of course lol...showed scarcity on accident though haha)

I texted her the next day, Saturday:

Me: Hey, was cool meeting you last night, Gal's Name...hope your not still sitting all alone lol
Her: lol you too (:
Me: Haha that backwards smile is weird, ur totally right (:
Her: HaHa I told you!
Me: Right...btw my friend Clara and I were arguing over who lies more, men or women lol...we need an outside opinion.
Her: Men
Me: See now you all are just gangin up on me
Her: Ha it's because we delt with guys our whole life. Girls lie to their parents guys lie to everyone so they don't get caught.
Me: I must not be a guy then, a man though for sure, cause I've known for a while lyin is the easiest way to loose friends and constantly lying is the easiest way to get caught!
Her: You just learned from the best
Me: Yeah my brain and all the shady ladies I've met (Ha that rhymed)
Her: lol not all ladies are shady
Me: Prove it
Her: How
Me: idk be creative, I thought u were a badass ( insert disappoint face here )

Me: Ok honest time...to prove neither of us are liars (: most embarrassing moment?
Her: story about runnin from the cops and face plantin
Me: omg that is awful...what are you doin runnin from the cops
Her: well first I hate cops...and we were at a keg party
Me: haha epic...but the hate...I'm right there with you...u ready for my embarrassing story?
Her: Yes
Me: ok so my grandpa got remarried a few years back, and my family went to visit him and his new wife on their lake house, as well as meet the rest of our new relatives. Well I met the neighbor girl and on the first night, before anyone but us showed up, she invited me far fishing. Long story short we ended up skinny dippin...next thing I know I wake up on the beach to people talking. I look up and all my new relatives are eating at a picnic table no more than 10 feet away...my mom looks at me and smiles, laughs, and throws me a towel...the worst part though was the sun burn on my ass Lol.
Her: haha I laughed so hard right then...I've never had a sun burn.
Me: No way...even as much as u go to the lake?
Her: Nvr I tan easy
Me: So no fake bake for you?
Her: No
Me: good, cause I can't deal with leathery lookin chicks lol
Her: Well that's not me lol
Me: lol Maybe we can chill after all
Her: Ha yes
Me: U gotta pass one more test though
Her: What?
Me: Have you seen at least one Star Wars movie?
Her: I've seen all the Star Wars movies...way better than Star Trek
Me: My sister may hate you...but you may have just win me over lol
Her: Ha Lol
Me: so now that we've established that you are ok for me to hang out with, when are you trying to chill?
Her: Idk??...when are you thinking..
Me: nope..I asked you first lol
Her: umm..I don't know when I'm free yet
Me: oh no lol another fail
Her: I'm free Monday and Wednesday
Me: legit, well I'm steelin you Monday then.
Her: Okay
Me: I get outta class at 3... I'll hit ya up then.
Her: All right cool


MONDAY

Me: Guntentag Frauline, we still on for tonight?
Her: I'm sorry I can't something came up
Me: u seem honest, did something really come up or do you just not wanna chill with me?
Her: No, my cousin and her fiancé just broke up so I'm gonna spend some time with her.
Me: Aww that is hella sad, send my condolences little lady...the wedding day wasn't close was it!
Her: No it was a year from now...but she might be prego...
Me: what!!? No way.
Her: yeah crazy shit.
Me: Well my thoughts are with her, I'll let ya be and see ya when I see ya...till then try and smile huh (:

Legit flake if you ask me....but here's my sticking point....what do I do now...reinitiate tonight or tmorrow and ask how her cousin is or leave it alone till Wednesday, when I know she is free, and just call her then....or just leave it alone till Friday when we are both goin to the same club anyway? Thoughts...advice....tips on where I slipped up....all are helpful.

I'm not an expert by any means, but here's what I think. It seemed like you were forcing the convo a bit too much and nearly all your texts were longer than hers. Also you made it easy for her to flake because you didn't set up anything specific. Definitely do not text her tonight to ask about her cousin or whatever because that might come across as needy. I'd wait to see if she texts you first, if not just wait till you see her again

Thanks man. I'm a naturally talkative person and all my life that has come across in texts or when ever really....I'll watch it for sure...I try to keep my energy level higher than theirs...pretty easy for me...honestly everything is fun to me...but I see now that you say that it looks forced, how it could be interpreted that way...great advice...

So just wait till I see her again...definitely need to avoid neediness...especially since my guard is a bit down on that front having just moved to a new city by myself...but calling once on Wednesday...does that portray neediness?
