Gday lads - first post here!

I was out on Sunday night (and after many a beer with the boys) I started talking to this girl HB9-10.

The conversation was going well and about 5 minutes in she asked me what my name was..in which I told her that she had to guess :p so she started blurting out names and then I finally introduced myself - we shook hands and I never let go of her hand..and she never tried to pull away. So we continued talking for another 5 minutes or so while we were still holding hands and then I told her we should go somewhere quieter (we were on the dancefloor at the time) We moved over to a seated area and there was plenty of kino on my part and she seemed to thoroughly enjoy it.

ANYWAY I went to kiss her but she only pecked my on the lips and then tried to turn away (her friends were watching though and trying to get her to leave so may this have been the reason?) In the end she asked my for my facebook and we added each other (no phone numbers yet).

From the time we first talked to the time she left would have been 10 minutes max.

We have talked a bit on Facebook since, I still haven't gotten her number but I told her that I would like to catch up with her this weekend - to which she replied "I'm working and doing assignments! doubt I'll go out"

Do you think she is trying to let me down nicely and bail or do you think she is genuinely busy?
What would be something I could say to her thats C&F and could possibly make her wanna hang out with me?

99% of the time, I'd say that she will find a way to talk to you or speak to you if she is into you.

At the moment it seems she's putting the wall up because, presumably, she thinks you're just trying to fuck. She may not be that type of girl or she may have been screwed over by somebody similar recently...who knows right? The way to get a date our of her now is to somehow convince her that you have genuine intentions and respect her as a person, NOT the guy who tried to hook up with her after 10 minutes.

Maybe you were a bit ambitious with the kiss?

so you reckon I could probably respond to her message of 'being busy working and studying all weekend' with a DHV message about what i'll be doing this weekend? or should i opt with something different?
