So I was out at dinner Friday night doing a kick-off dinner for a co-worker. Saw a table of four girls at the table next to us. One of them at the table I instantly knew I wanted to go for, I just couldn't figure out how to approach. Eventually dessert comes out (they are celebrating), I think this is my cue. I walk up to the table and ask what they are celebrating for. Turns out it is the target's birthday. I stand over the table and chat up the entire group for a few minutes of normal conversation. I ask what the birthday girl's plan for the rest of the evening - They are going to another party.. i suggest coming out to an area by me.. and grab the number to coordinate. I shoot a text with my name, and she quickly responds, if we don't hang out tonight we should soon. I don't reach out further.

I called her up the next afternoon (st pattys) on my way to another party. We agree to meet up Sunday. I didn't get finished with errands till late in the afternoon, so we postpone to Monday. She suggests dinner. I come back with wine tasting. She ask for me to pick her up. Alot of interest, things are going well.

I pick her up Monday right as it starts to crazy hail, so we divert our plans to a nearby restaurant. One of the best conversations i've had with a girl in a while. The bottle of wine helped i'm sure. Alot of common interests and views. About 2.5 hours. I bring her back to her place and offer to walk her to the door. She invites me in to show me her place. We hang out for a bit longer and I go in for a kiss on the way out, successfully. A few times throughout the evening I mentioned I should take her around my area and she would like it. She expressed interest and asked when can we do that. We agree to Thursday because we are both not working. It was great evening all in all.

PROBLEM:

No communication before I called her last night (wednesday) around 9pm to try and set something up for today. It was a pretty barebones voice message talking about...nice meeting you...hope you had a good day at work..I think I remember you are off tomorrow.. I'm free as well...let get together. I am horrible with my tone of voicemails. I have gotten feedback that I sound to businessy multiple times. I can't shake it. No response as of now. My gut says its a marathon not a race and I should hold off with trying to reach out further until she gets back with some type of communication, but at the same time I want to show interest and we did agree to today. I wanted to get your guys opinion.

This is the best one I've found it a while, and I wouldn't mind trying to make something of it. Probably why I'm screwing things up.

I've been doing so well with approaching and number closing, Its been difficult for me to move on to the next level.

Update:

I was battling all morning with myself to reach out or not. Finally just got a message back from her apologizing for just getting back.."something came up" and suggested next week.

Patience is a virtue.
